Rotterdam Arts Fair 2013

Rotterdam Arts Fair 2013

Charlie Koolhaas ( charliekoolhaas.com/) and Eddie Steinhauer (www.edouardsteinhauer.com/)  participated in the Rotterdam Arts Fair in Rotterdam, Holland. Alternating works has become a part of the ritual. Works by Angelbert were changed daily as part of his performance. It is possible that at this precise moment, work becomes art and art becomes the experience.

A note on the Fair by AM -
"Going on day 5 of the art fair...I  am still committed."

I am American. An average, post middle-class painter and experimenter, allowing myself to unfold for the viewer. The fair is for buying work for the best possible price. I am here to freely capture and exercise the advantage of access. I have no prices on my works, nor do I have names - just images and sound. This removes the collector from the periphery and moves them into an experience out of context.
The user is not afforded the opportunity to come back for the same image or context.

This will create a new experience for collectors, giving them the opportunity to learn more about my works. For the sake of my blog (A.M. blog), I am documenting the change in my work.

My performance is to not talk about my work but to record an opportunity; the experience of the Art fair. Accompanying the information on my art work exists a list of possible exhibitions of my works and experiments that have yet to occur, created to open the door of chance to those that are interested in producing projects and exhibitions with AIS. So they may share their experience with the world as I am doing today."
